JUAN JORGE MICHEL FARIÑA
Senior Professor of Ethics and Human Rights, University of Buenos Aires and Head of Research –Category I– at the Science and Technology UBA Program. Fariña is in charge of the International Bioethical Information System Project (IBIS). He is author of several books and articles on Bioethics and Professional Ethics, including “La encrucijada de la filiación: tecnologías reproductivas y restitución de niños” (Crossroads: Kidnapping and Restitution of Children and Reproductive Technologies) (Lumen, 2000, 2005), “Etica: un horizonte en quiebra” (Ethics: a Broken Horizon) (Eudeba, 2000, 2003), “Etica y Cine” (Ethics and Cinema) (Eudeba, 1999, 2001), and “Etica y Magia a través del cine: el acto de prestidigitación y el acontecimiento clinico” (Ethics and Magic through movies) (Dynamo, 2009).

Bachelor degree in psychology UBA. PhD candidate, Department of Psychology, Ethics, and Human Rights University of Buenos Aires. Researcher at the Science and Technology UBA Program. PhD project: “Psychology and bioethics: the principles of the universal declaration of bioethics and human rights (UNESCO 2005) through dilemmatic sceneries in health practice.” Author of the article: “Fritz Jahr and the Zeitgeist of bioethics.” Aesthethika International Journal on Subjectivity, Politics and the Arts. Member of the Editorial Board „ANNUAL Jahr‟, Department of Social Sciences and Medical Humanities, University of Rijeka School of Medicine, Croatia.
