Cardiff University - European Neuroethics
Neuroscience research has demonstrated an increasing potential for direct impact on both society and the individual, which highlights the need for neuroethics and public engagement. Cesagen’s Genomics and Psychiatry project team* are examining the emergence of genetic technologies in the field of psychiatry, and the subsequent clinical and stakeholder responses. A podcast** has already been published online from the first public engagement event. Cesagen is also organising a new crosscutting event to coincide with Science and Engineering Week. This event aims to stimulate public discussion and debate on the issues around mental health and enhancement using the popular medium of film.
